Chef Marcell Kunej

We are lucky to call Marcell Kunej a member of our team since already 2 years. As our chef, the young man from Hermagor, Carinthia is always ambitioned to satisfy our guests with culinary delights.

Therefore, it is possible for us – Jakob and Lilly – to fully focus on comforting our guests personally during their stay at our restaurant. In summer Jakob is still able to continue his hobby – cooking – during the day in our beautiful “Gartl” which is still very important for him 😊


In 2023 Marcell was rewarded with 3 Hauben and 15,5 points by restaurant guide “Gault Millau” for the second time. His love, his interest and enormous commitment to cooking leads to exciting menu creations over and over.

In the garden

Even in private he likes to intensively occupy himself with groceries in the form of plants. Marcell grows different sorts of exotic and regional vegetables and fruits in his own garden where he closely looks into cultivation them.


Since summer 2023 we are also lucky to employ a rookie in the kitchen, where Marcell does a great job in teaching him. We are very excited as this also makes us help develop the tourism sector and hopefully gain more young people by showing them our passionate work.
